Thesis Statement: My ceramics theme involves nature and natural tones. All of the work I do has brown, green, blue or other naturalistic tones to the glazing. As well the overall shape of my projects is very symmetrical and smooth with highlights on the irregularities to have detailed intricate projects.
What the projects are:They are larger thrown projects with smaller often hand done projects thrown in
Most are glazed with an accent of white with a top of ether green or brown.
Very few projects have no green color in them somewhere.
I favor large bowls and vases over other types of projects.
How they were made: I would always take up about a period to throw the initial form of the object.
I than proceed to leave it to dry for 1 or 2 days, at that point I would decide to foot it or sand it depending on the shape I wanted for the project.
Ether way I continued to let it dry until it was ready too fire.
Once fired I would normally glaze it that day using my mood to inspire the designs I painted and placed it on the bisque shelf.
It would take about 2 days to be fired normally.
All in all a project from start to finish would take around 7 days or a full week to be done, more for larger projects.
